Immaculate Conception BVM Church

Founded in 1852 by St. John Neumann

Knights of St. Paul

The "Knights of St. Paul Roman Catholic Beneficial Association" was founded on April 15, 1884 in York, Pennsylvania by men of St. Mary's and St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Churches for practical Catholic men to bond together as brothers to provide mutual assistance at a time when misfortune and calamity may come upon them, establishing an association for collecting an assessment and a one-time initiation fee, for a fund to pay weekly benefits for injury or sickness as well as a death benefit. These benefits are to be determined by the association members.

The association continues to flourish and over the years has raised weekly sick benefits and death benefits. The Knights of St. Paul have also established an endowment fund for students attending the parochial schools in the York Deanery, as well as a yearly stipend for a young man studying for the priesthood from within the York Deanery.

The membership also aids various other charitable institutions.

The Knights of St. Paul holds a yearly social for dues-paying members at no cost to the members.

The association is open to practical Catholic men between the ages of 16 years and not yet 75 years of age.
