The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated in English on the second Sunday of the month at 12:30pm in the Church. Parents and godparents (if they reside locally) are required to attend a Baptismal class which is held the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Room of the school. Pre-registration for the class and the sacrament are required.
According to Canon law, at least one godparent must be a practicing Catholic, at least 16 years of age, who attends mass at least weekly, has received all the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion, Confirmation), and is validly married in the Catholic Church (if married). Catholic godparents who are not registered members of St. Mary's must present a sponsorship letter from their home parish to show their eligibility. ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE COMPLETE, SPONSORSHIP LETTERS RECEIVED AND CLASS ATTENDED BEFORE THE BAPTISM CAN BE SCHEDULED. To register for the class or for more information, please call the parish office.
