Guidance, information, and connections for your journey as a Catholic.

Vocations

Many young people feel Jesus calling them closer, and they are excited about following Him. They are not afraid to show their faith, to pray openly, or to kneel before Him. They want to follow Jesus with their whole hearts. But sometimes other things fill their hearts, and when they are afraid to let go, they turn away. When that happens, joy can fade into sadness.

Today, many young people are called by God, but something can sometimes hold them back from saying yes.

“Do not be afraid! Accept the invitation of the Church and of Christ the Lord!” May Mary, who always said yes to God’s call, walk with us as we follow Jesus.

— Pope Leo, May 11, 2025

As a parish, we are called to be a faith-filled community that supports and encourages young people to respond to God’s call with joy.

Secondly we must actively identify those who may be called by the Lord to this great self-consecration.

For any young man discerning a vocation to the priesthood, or any young woman considering the consecrated life, please talk to your nearest available priest!
